Anime Washington 2024

2024 started off strong with a brand new anime convention here in Washington! With the Baka Boys being based out of Washington, we were excited to add another home convention to our calendars!

This convention felt like it came out of nowhere, as all of us were taken by surprise. After speaking with some of the staff, this convention was organized fairly quickly. However, that did not get in the way of booking guests! Despite the short timeframe they were working with, they were able to book guests like Dameon Clarke, Brian Donovan, Suzie Yeung, Kate Higgins, and more!

Although this convention was smaller compared to other local conventions, it did not fall short in terms of things to look at and appreciate! Just like any other convention, you will be surrounded by anime merchandise, cosplayers, and gaming. Which in my mind, makes for a pretty good weekend!

Overall, I had a great time wandering around Anime Washington! I hope that it grows to be as big as our other home conventions (Sakuracon & Emerald City Comic Con) over the next couple of years. So, if you’re local to the area, I would definitely keep your eye out for Anime Washington and come out next year to support!
