Charles Martinet: The Next Chapter

Charles Martinet, the beloved voice of Mario since 1991, is stepping back from voicing Mario and other characters. This was officially announced via Nintendo’s Twitter account. Charles will now be taking on the new role of “Mario Ambassador” where he will “share the joy of Mario” around the world.

While this news may be heartbreaking to fans around the world, they can take solace in the fact that he will still be a part of the Mario Bros. franchise in some form.

This does beg the question though… Who will be the next voice of Mario?
