The NendoCurator EP. 1

This is episode 1 of our newest series: The NendoCurator!

We have received a lot of love for our Gunpla Therapy series, so we decided to shed some light on another one of our writer’s hobbies: Nendoroids!

Chrissy is a longtime collector of Nendoroid figures, which she believes is far superior than the popular Funko Pops “and it’s not even close.” In this series, she will go over some of her favorite pieces and new additions that she adds to her collection. She will highlight some of their features and showcase her collection here! Please enjoy episode 1 of The NendoCurator below!

I’ll be honest… I know nothing of Hatsune Miku, but her Nendoroids are too cute not to get, especially the special edition ones! She is absolutely adorable and so is her bunny pal.

She comes with following pieces:

  • 3 Faceplates

  • A Snowflake

  • A Paintbrush

  • An Umbrella

  • A Special Stand

  • A Cute Bunny Friend

Here's what I loved about it: The hair isn't fully opaque, so it gives it a nice pastel look and can be a bit see-through around the face framing. There are also snowflakes sprinkled through it. The sleeves on her coat and the charms in the center of her pigtails have a sun and moon on either side, which I didn’t even notice at first. The same with her back ribbon which hangs past her skirt.

Now for what I didn’t like: The umbrella cannot be held, it keeps falling out of her hand and I find it next to her more often than not. She also has the special “Miku hair problem”, where the hair is so heavy that it pulls down her whole head. Of course, the fix is to have the ends of her hair touching the ground for support. Which honestly isn’t too bad, because she’s one of the few Nendoroids who can free stand without a base.

Overall, one of my all-time favorite Nendoroids! Starting the series off strong! 10/10
