Movie’s success, solely because they are one of the most iconic gaming franchises in history. So, the fact that they are making big splashes in the movie world is something worth mentioning under “Gaming News”.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has recently surpassed Frozen 2, to be the 2nd highest-earning foreign-animated film in Japan. The Mario Bros. has earned about 94.1 million US dollars since its release in Japan. This movie is only topped by Disney’s first Frozen movie, which has earned about 179.2 million US dollars in Japan.

If one were to look at his movie on the worldwide scale, the Super Mario Bros. Movie has become the highest-earning video game adaption in history! Will this be the start of a new era of good video game movie adaptations? I hope so!
