Cinnamoroll Gets Its Very Own TV Anime

Sanrio is unveiling the "I.Cinnamoroll" brand for its beloved character Cinnamoroll, popularly known as Cinnamon in Japan. This brand introduces a unique twist to the character's origin, exploring an alternate reality where Cinnamoroll never crossed paths with the Cafe Cinnamon worker who initially discovered him. The "I" in the title symbolizes both the English pronoun "I" and the Japanese word "ai" (love), reflecting the brand's theme centered around self-care for both body and mind.

To accompany this launch, a new net short anime under the I.Cinnamoroll brand will be streamed on the official YouTube channel starting in October. Additionally, Cinnamoroll and actor Ken Yasuda are set to co-star in a cooking show titled "Cinnamon to Yasuda Ken no Yurudoki Sūbun Cooking," premiering on TBS Television on October 7 at 9:25 a.m.

Cinnamoroll's enduring popularity is evident in his victory for the fourth consecutive year in Sanrio's Character Ranking 2023, amassing an impressive 4,376,064 votes out of the total 44,487,850. Notably, this character had previously inspired the 2007 anime "Cinnamon the Movie" and launched a dedicated YouTube channel in March, featuring an earlier net anime titled "Cinnamon Anime Damon.
