Atelier Ryza's Grand Debut: 1-Hour Special Premiere!

The upcoming television anime adaptation of Koei Tecmo Games' popular role-playing game, "Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout," is set to make its debut with a special one-hour premiere. During a live-streamed program, a new key visual created by character designer Tomoyuki Shitaya was revealed.

The anime, titled "Tokoyami no Joō to Himitsu no Kakurega Animation," will feature the original game's main cast and is directed by Ema Yuzuriha at LIDEN FILMS. Series scripts are overseen by Yashichiro Takahashi, known for "Shakugan no Shana," and character designs are crafted by Tomoyuki Shitaya. Kazuki Yanagawa returns from the game to handle the music composition.

Scheduled to air on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, YTV, and TV Aichi from July 1, the anime is highly anticipated by fans of the game, which was released in North America in October 2019. The sequel, "Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy," garnered success globally with over 1.6 million units shipped. Despite the game's ongoing popularity, the release of "Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key" has been delayed to March 23 in Japan (March 24 in the West), building anticipation among the gaming community.
