Square Enix and KOEI Tecmo announces Dragon Quest Champions

On January 18, 2023, Square Enix and KOEI Tecmo unveiled the latest installment to the Dragon Quest series during a live stream. Dragon Quest Champions will be a mobile game available both on iOS and Android. Although an official release date has not been announced, a closed beta will take place from February 6th to February 13th (applications are open until January 29). The story will focus on the Heroic Martial Arts Tournaments, which will include a "Tournament Mode" that allows up to 50 players battle in real-time.
