Sonic the Hedgehog enthusiasts have something to look forward to as the YouTube channel for Sega's franchise recently unveiled a new episode trailer for Sonic Prime, the 3D animated series created by Wild Brain Studios. The series is set to make a return on Netflix starting July 13, following its debut on December 15, which featured an initial 40-minute episode and seven subsequent 20-minute episodes.

In addition to this exciting announcement, Sega revealed during Sonic Central that the 2013 Sonic Dash endless runner mobile game, developed in collaboration with Hardlight, will be launching on Netflix as Sonic Prime Dash. This release is timed to coincide with the new season of Sonic Prime.

The Sonic Prime series takes viewers on Sonic's adventure into a "strange new multiverse," where he embarks on a mission to save the universe while undergoing a journey of self-discovery and redemption. The show features beloved characters from the franchise, including Shadow the Hedgehog.

Deven Mack takes on the role of Sonic's voice in the series, with the assurance that the current actors for Sonic in games and movies will continue to voice the character. The cast also includes Brian Drummond as Eggman, Ashleigh Ball as Tails, Shannon Chan-Kent as Amy Rose, Adam Nurada as Knuckles, and Ian Hanlin as Shadow and Big the Cat. With its return on Netflix, Sonic Prime promises more thrilling adventures for fans of the iconic blue hedgehog.
